MICROSOFT TEAMS RECORDING
In Microsoft Teams, users can record their Teams meetings and group calls to capture audio, video, and screen sharing activity.
There are options for recordings to have:
– Automatic transcription – allowing users to playback meeting recordings
– Closed captions
– Search functionality to search for important discussion items in the transcript.
The recording happens in the cloud and is saved to Microsoft Stream, so users can share it securely across their organisation.
THE ADDITONAL BENEFIT OF MICROSOFT STREAM
Microsoft Stream is where people in your organisation can upload, view, and share videos securely. You can share recordings of classes, meetings, presentations, training sessions, or other videos that aid your team’s collaboration. Microsoft Stream also makes it easy to share comments on a video, tag timecodes in comments and descriptions to refer to specific points in a video and discuss with colleagues.
The benefit of Stream is that it works well with other Office apps like Teams, SharePoint and OneNote. If you have Teams, you will have access to Stream and this is good when it comes to meeting recording storage because Streams takes care of it and there is no undue load placed on Teams.
